The Story Behind Be So Hum
The Hands That Craft Your Mala
Not only a Mala-Maker, but a Wife, Mother, Yogi, High School English Teacher, Powerlifter, and Nature-lover. These are just some ways to describe me.
Hello there! I’m so glad you found my little corner of the internet where I am able to share my creativity and love for everything that has to do with gemstones, mindfulness, and yoga. I discovered yoga several years ago and it completely changed the course of my life. Initially, I just did the poses (and felt amazing!) But after reading a lot, I realized that yoga was so much more than just asana (poses.) I began to explore the meditative aspects of yoga and so began my meditation journey. This was yet another life-changing moment for me as I realized all the positive things that came out of my daily 10-20 minute sessions. I began reading books on mindful living, and one Christmas, my husband bought me a “beaded necklace” from a local yoga shop. I thought it was really pretty, but didn’t realize it was a mala necklace--I didn’t even know what that was at the time.
After learning about this “beaded necklace” and how amazing it was as a tool of meditation, a beautiful accessory, and a little crystal powerhouse, I became obsessed with them! I bought a few more and soon realized that I could teach myself how to make my own--far more beautiful and meaningful than the ones I had purchased. Others started asking me to make them mala necklaces and bracelets, and Be So Hum Jewelry was born.
Today, this little corner of my life brings me so much happiness and satisfaction. Knowing that I am making such sacred pieces for people all over the world makes my heart sing with joy. Thank you for allowing me to make such beautiful and sacred pieces for you. I am truly honored.
Blessings to you,
